Kirklees Council ignores questions. A complaint registered!

Hi my fellow Petitioners,

I was excited today to get a reply back from the Councillor who had said she was waiting for news. I couldn't believe it when I read the email though. She completely ignored the questions I had asked, and told me she had arranged a short time extra with the Recovery College. During this time, none of the Councillors I wrote to contacted me save my own, with whom I have an existing relationship. As a disabled person, I am supposed to feel I have been consulted by them talking to my service provider? There's a term for that, and it's not a polite one. 

I thought about it and did some looking. It turns out that Kirklees Council has a Complaints Process. They don't make it easy to find. So this evening, I registered a complaint with them, against closing our building without consultation or an impact assessment. And then, not responding to my questions and only consulting with the Recovery College (they are lovely, but it's not them that wrote the letter!) It's another step in the process, but we will see if we get more news.
