Dear Allies,
As the new school year approaches, we find ourselves at a pivotal moment to advocate for the continued support and empowerment of our 2SLGBTQAI+ students in the province of New Brunswick. We have witnessed significant progress made by various District Education Councils across the province, and it is now crucial that we rally together to ensure that this progress is preserved, strengthened, and extended to every corner of our educational system.
We kindly request your assistance in writing to the Chair and Vice Chair of the Anglophone South District West District Education Council to express your urgent support for the cause. By uniting our voices, we encourage them to take swift action and demonstrate their commitment to fostering an inclusive and safe learning environment for all students.

In your emails, we encourage you to highlight the following:
Support for Progress: Express your appreciation for the steps taken by other District Education Councils in the province to support and uplift 2SLGBTQAI+ students. Emphasize the positive impact of such initiatives on fostering acceptance, understanding and a sense of belonging among these students.
Urgency: Emphasize the urgency of the matter as the new school year is about to commence. Stress that now is the time to ensure no reduction in the support, resources, and protections provided to 2SLGBTQAI+ students.
Preservation and Strengthening: Encourage the Anglophone South District West District Education Council to follow the lead of their counterparts and take decisive action to preserve and strengthen the initiatives that have proven effective in promoting inclusivity and diversity within schools.
Call to Action: Politely but firmly request that they send an email, without delay, outlining their commitment to maintaining and enhancing 2SLGBTQAI+ student support within their district. Their endorsement of these principles will send a powerful message about their dedication to creating an equitable educational environment.
Your support is invaluable in ensuring that no student feels marginalized or unsupported based on gender identity or sexual orientation. Let us stand united in our efforts to impact the lives of our 2SLGBTQAI+ youth positively.
Thank you for your unwavering commitment to equality and inclusivity in education.
Warm regards,
Don
