Hello Petition Supporters,

An important update has been issued to current Parent Education students. The program will be closing by the end of the year. This communication was sent without the formal approval of the board of trustees to approve the budget proposal that includes the sunsetting of Parent Education.

Now, more than ever, we must rally and support the program once more. It is our last hope, and we are still working to persuade the college leadership to reconsider and do the right thing. We hope that the Board of Trustees has listened to our voices and concerns. There is still hope and time.

Please attend the rally on November 17, 2025, at 3:15 PM at the BC fountain in front of C Building and the student commons. Please come to fight for our program, current students, and the amazing faculty who have held it up and still need our support. Your stories and voices matter. We will not be ignored or silenced. The board will meet at 4:00 PM in B201. As far as I know, there will be time for public comment, and we hope that the budget proposal will be sent back for further review and changes.

Thank you so much for your signatures. They are more than just names on paper. Each person who has signed has a voice that matters, and I thank you for taking the time to sign and share. As we move forward, please know that we will continue fighting for the program and will do all we can to stand up for current families and let them know that they would be making a huge mistake by ending Parent Education.
