Thanks again for all your support... but what are M&S Food doing?

Our message is simple: Enough is Enough. We want the proposed East Moclett Fish Farm recently given approval by Orkney Islands Council to be halted and the idea abandoned by Cooke Aquaculture Scotland. They already have six fish farms, we don't need a seventh.
But we're up against a great deal of marketing propaganda - including from M&S Food, a very trusted UK food brand. They asked best-selling children's writer Linda Chapman to write a children's reading book, Farm to Foodhall: The Magic Ingredient. The young traveller, Amalia, flies to Orkney and visits a fish farm and young readers are told there is 'always lots of space for them [the salmon] to swim freely'.
This is pure propaganda pitched at children. Perhaps they are too young to learn about fish farms as disgusting industrial and chemical complexes where millions of fish - many deformed - die of disease long before reaching the plate for Great-Aunt Fiona's Super Salmon Parcels. Shame on you M&S.
