Updated request.
It is our united voice that will make a difference.
Your support in writing a simple and short email is now critical in protecting the wooded 240 Acres of Stillwell Woods PreserveAfter representatives from SSAS, NSAS, NHOC, LIOC and TTPW along with constituents from NYS Senatorial District 7 met with NYS Senator Jack Martins on January 5th, we posted and wrote articles about our gratitude and hope because the senator expressed interest and concern for Stillwell’s future. Martins told us that he had been approached by neither the Town of Oyster Bay (TOB) nor the county regarding Stillwell Woods Preserve, but he promised to look into the matter and meet with us again.
We are now disheartened and troubled to tell you that despite repeated attempts, Senator Martins has been unresponsive to our requests for a follow-up meeting. We also need to update him, and we know dialog is the place where we can find understanding and common ground. Moreover, it is in Senator Martins’ own interest to keep the lines of communication open and honest.
Please help! Send an email. If you are a Senate District 7 constituent or you represent an organization, please emphasize it! Let them know why Stillwell is important for you and demand Martins meet with us:
