We are proud to launch The National Sonography Organization (NSO) — the first and only movement built by sonographers, for sonographers. This is more than another society; it’s a united front that refuses to ignore the daily struggles we face on the front lines of patient care. Together, we’re turning our voices into action.
This movement began as a push for unionization under the National Sonography Union (NSU), driven by urgent needs: fair pay, safe scan times, injury protection, and real standards.
But we’ve evolved. Our mission remains the same, but our main focus is now on advocacy. We aim to push for national protections while also pressing organizations to adapt to the changing realities of our field, ensuring sonographers are supported across every employer and state.
Our dedicated, sonographer-led team is mission-driven and passionate about bringing your voices to the table. Together, we are committed to making sonographer advocacy a national priority.
