Hi everyone,

Unfortunately health bosses are pressing ahead with the awarding of the out of hours GP contract to Medvivo, thereby ending Shropdoc's 30 year service in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin.  

This is despite GPs in the west country raising serious concerns about the way the out of hours service is operated there in the GP's Pulse magazine.

We have established a new petition - see link below - asking Ian Green OBE, the new Chair of the Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin ICB, who award the contract, to urgently review this decision as we remain concerned that the new service will be significantly inferior to the one we have now and that patients and the public (any of us) could come to harm as a result.
