We all attended the budget committee meeting Wednesday night. It was cordial and we spoke to the committee about what the class meant to us. Presented some very good facts and figures. Then as they looked down at their desks They voted NO. We have come to the conclusion that they just want us gone. You would think In a county where senior citizens outnumber 18 and under they would be a little more receptive. I wonder how many of those 18 and under vote. It is my understanding that a representative of the class is meeting with some decision makers to try to find a route to end this nonsense. Let's hope they find a route. We just want to get back to work.
