Petition updateSave Our Schools: Stop the Obion County Middle School MergerHomeschool ≠ Lost Funding — Don’t Be Fooled

I want to clear up a big misunderstanding: The school board doesn’t lose money when families switch to county-approved homeschooling. Students are still counted on the books, which means the county still gets the state funds whether your child attends in person or not.

They already expect families to pull out, but it doesn’t change their funding. That’s why this merger plan isn’t about saving money — it’s about control and centralization. Don’t let them fool you.
