🟥 RED SQUIRREL ARMY: THIS IS OUR MOMENT

Just over three weeks remain.

A vital petition supporting squirrelpox vaccine research for red squirrels needs 10,000 signatures by 19 July to secure consideration for debate.

It currently stands at just over 3,000 signatures.

That means thousands more voices are still needed - and quickly.

The good news?

Anyone, anywhere in the world can sign.

Last week, many Save Our Reds supporters answered our call and helped generate hundreds of additional signatures. Thank you.

But we cannot afford to lose momentum now.

Why does this matter?

Because squirrelpox remains one of the greatest threats facing red squirrels. Grey squirrels carry the virus and survive. For reds, infection is almost always fatal.

The encouraging news is that a promising vaccine is now in development. While more research and investment are needed, many conservationists believe it could become a gamechanger for red squirrel conservation across the UK.

That is why Dr Craig Shuttleworth, one of Britain's leading red squirrel conservationists, launched this petition.

And that is why Save Our Reds is supporting it.

Please sign today:

Then share it with at least one other person.

And while you're there, please help us continue our own drive towards 100,000 supporters this summer by sharing the Save Our Reds petition with a friend, family member or colleague.

Together, these two actions could help transform the future of Britain's beleaguered native red squirrel.

One signature.

One share.

One step closer to a future where red squirrels still have a place in our woods.

Thank you for standing with our reds.
