String Day may be a day to focus on beginners, but if it is, take the high schoolers out of it. Many of our parents look forward to see where we started and where we will continue. If you don’t include intermediate then you won’t see where the beginners will be next year. If you don’t include the advanced you don’t see where the high schoolers  started. You put String Day in our orchestra permission slip, so we expect it to be there. Sure, having every person from every orchestra is exhausting but it is a time where we make new friends and ultimately get better. We may have tour but we love Eisenhower and want to perform with them. Every-time we  perform with them we grow. In confidence, ability, creativity, and real world skills. String Day is a day for us to fix our mistakes from tour and learn. Many of us may not continue orchestra into our adult life but the more we do activities like this the more fun playing instruments is.
