Dear Save Our Museum supporters
Yesterday was the last day that the public could enter the Museum of Oxford without having to pay an entrance fee or to be questioned about their status of eligibility for a concession. The museum was busy all day with families, tourists and members of the public. Many visitors were unaware that this was the last free day were very angry and disappointed that the museum was going to start charging so they jointed the many of you who came especially to write a supporting message on the notice board in Gallery 2. We counted a total of 68 'save our museum' comments and we will soon have photos of them all. So a huge thank you to everyone who came along and completed a card. We were able to welcome visitors on this day at the door of the museum with a sign which said Keep the Museum Free and to offer a chocolate which was much appreciated by young and old. Supporters are continuing to sign the petition and to date we have 1704 signatures. We will be continuing to protest this unjust entrance fee to OUR Museum of Oxford and we will keep you all informed. The website is kept up to date regularly with information of our campaign and how we will go forward.
Thank you again for all your support and do access our website for all the latest news and also keep sharing the petition.
