A couple of ramblings as we get closer to the WA state decision makers...

Here is the view shed in one portion of the area planned to have an assaulting amount of wind turbines installed.... think of the the beautiful animals and land that will be forever changed. You may want to know the hills you see now were once past the height of the Olympic Mountains. This is ancient land...full of life.

This is an area that is close to the wineries. Wineries that select pictures like this to market their wine. I wonder when turbines are installed if they will update their pictures with the new look...

Meeting with the state decision makers recap: They sat in Olympia hosting the meeting. The local community could participate by showing up at a county building and the internet. One needed to sign up to express their opinion of what would be determined in their own community. Their over all opinion was a resounding "no" from 98% of all that participated. The remaining 2% were local unions that believe the broadcast to thousands of jobs when the reality is a mere 3-6 jobs after construction for maintenance. An interesting comments was from a mountaineer that explained he had seen the devastation of climate change and this would help mitigate it. I hope he drives by the vineyards and notices turbines there to WARM the vines. These turbines INCREASE the temperature per Science. Follow the science- I guess when it benefits investors- oh, yes, from out  of country and when supported by WA state leadership.

Enjoy the view- continue to be interested because of the science and impact on the environment.
