UPDATE: December 5th, 2023, Tuesday, at the Will County building in Joliet, Illinois, the Public Works and Transportation Committee Meeting will be held, 9:00AM.

Here we will get an update on the jurisdictional transfer(s) of the road currently called "WC1" (Will County 1) which consists of about 4 miles of naturesque, woodland, farmland and historic areas on three roadways named: 

Parker Road

Chicago Bloomington Trail Road

Hadley Road

It has been imperative to keep this issue alive as it will set standards for other communities who face demolition and environmental disturbance.

Not all road projects are the same.

Is there a need? Is there a purpose?

Will hundreds of mature trees get removed? Will historical homes and structures get demolished? Will farms and residential areas be disrupted, uprooted, and destroyed?
