Happy Holidays Community Theatre Revitalization Supporters! I am happy to report to all of you that the building located at 1401 Post Road in Fairfield is officially listed for sale. The selling price is $5.95M which is priced at a significant premium, but it is my guess that it will sell for far less — perhaps in the high $3M to low $4M range. The listing documents went out to an estimated 36 interested parties by Colonial Realty on Thursday, December 7, 2017. You can see part of the listing documentation attached, but they are requesting interested parties sign a non-disclosure agreement to receive full details on this property. I am going to sign the agreement, but I won't be able to provide full details give the terms of the confidentiality agreement. I have also alerted the newly formed Fairfield Community Advisory Council of this development and together we're considering our options and a plan forward to ensure that it remains a Community Theatre. Please know that this will not be an overnight process, but it's great progress, nonetheless. Please keep talking and posting about this to keep this top of mind for the town of Fairfield.
