Join in TOMORROW, Thursday, April 11th at 3:30 PM in front of the School Board Building

Thank you for ALL your work in ADVOCACY WEEK over the past 5 days.
Our advocacy week efforts culminate tomorrow with an in person showing in front of the school board building at 3:30 PM. Civic engagement is considered a lawful absence/early dismissal per Policy 9010 and we encourage you to consider picking up child(ren) early to bring with you.
We welcome ALL school advocates to join us. Teachers and other school-based staff and programs are being cut for the school year that starts this August. We appreciate our teachers & staff, and our children benefit from the programs they direct. We need to show appreciation by advocating for them.
The operating budget is in the hands of the County Executive. We are asking our elected leaders to work together to secure funding so that our school system receives funding to keep our teachers, staff & programs.
Consider bringing an umbrella, rain jacket and/or clear plastic bag to protect any signs that you are bringing from water. Whether there is sunshine or a drizzle, we plan to be there and hope you will be too.
Together we will make Howard County a better place for our children, teachers & staff.
