Thank you for a Successful Protest Rally in Front of the George Howard Building

Thank you to all who joined us in front of the George Howard Building yesterday to ask the County Executive to fund 100% of the Howard County Public School System's Budget request and to also find additional funding to restore teacher, staff and program cuts currently written into the budget.

Timeline:

The County Executive will put together a budget from all of the county entities' requests (HCPSS is just one of many) and submit it to the County Council in mid-April. March is the month for us to make our voices heard!

For next steps, please consider:

• Write a brief message to the County Executive this week to follow up on yesterday's event, even if you have already written him a message before. Tell him that you were there or heard about the event. Ask him to fund the Howard County Public School System's request and to find additional funding for teachers, staff and programs being cut.
