Dear local residents

Whilst Boots did close the pharmacy on Southmead Road despite petitions and letters to them, all is not yet lost.

The pharmacist who owns the Greenway Pharmacy which is located in the Greenway Community (GP) Practice, has applied to have a pharmacy contract for the location where Boots pharmacy has just closed on Southmead Road.

The process and the terminology is not very clear but the bottom line is that he has applied and any comments / letters of support / need to be sent to the NHS before 2nd March 2024.

For some complicated reasons the applcation is entitled:

" Application offering unforeseen benefits at In the vicinity of the parade of shops Wellington Hill West/Southmead Road, Bristol, BS10 5DW " 

and the case reference number is:

CAS-264729-J7D3V2

They ask that this reference number is put in the subject line of your email.

Remember this needs to be done quickly as the decision about whether to issue a pharmacy contract for our area will be taken by  Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire ICB [Integrated Care Board]  who will consider all representations that are received.
