AIB has confirmed it will not be proceeding with its plan to remove cash services from Cashel and Cahir or its other 68 branches nationwide.
Thank you to everyone who signed our Petition which had over 980 signatures at 12pm today. Thank you to the people and businesses of Cashel to Cllr. Andy Moloney and the people of Cahir and to Michael Lowry T.D. for his help and guidance.

In a statement, AIB bank said that recognising the customer and public unease that it has caused, it had decided not to proceed with the proposed changes.

This is hugely important to so many people, businesses and communities that depend on banks across the country.

Going forward I would encourage everyone to start using our Local banks in Cashel and Cahir more often.
