Lies continue to be spread about the closing of Onondaga County Jamesville Correction Facility. What you read in the paper is NOT TRUE. Not everyone is being a position. Sheriffs are being “wasted” doing clerical work. EDUCATED civilians are NEEDED and would help with the understaffing. I personally wouldn’t want a sheriff trying to help me over a REGISTERED NURSE. I wouldn’t want a sheriff to be my middle man between mg lawyer or family.

Jamesville is not just used for “small” or “light” sentences. People can be there for years.
