We made it to 1500 signatures!

Wow wow wow thanks to you all for your support. We made it to 1500 signatures. I have emailed The Ministry of Education and The ASB executives with our petition on Friday. I have had zero response.

We had an article about the closure of the centre on stuff.co.nz. I have attached this for anyone interested. I was shocked (and a little outraged) to read that all The Ministry had done so far was offer financial advise and offered the SELO (Strengthening Early Learning Opportunities) programme. The ministry can do more to help and support our centre and that is what this petition is all about. Unfortunately the doors have closed and the writing is on the wall for many rural community-based non-profit ECE centres just like OECC.
