Petition going brilliantly and heading towards 1000.
I believe there is some national and local media coverage in the offing including interview with Steve B. Lots of record labels, magazines and music industry sorts have shared the petition and @onthewire's updates.
The comments are absolutely brilliant and show exactly how much OTW means to people.
We're still way short of the potential number of signatures and would love everyone to share if you haven't done so... It would be great to get up to a thousand at least inside 5 days. If you are on any music forums or local Lancashire/North West groups it might be worth dropping it there as it's surprising how where you find people with really fond memories of the programme.
It's also worth making the point that OTW going from the BBC is part of a wider politically driven set of cuts that reduce local radio to the bone and that is a point that might get people to sign as well who might not be massive music fans or appreciate the 'leftfield' nature of it. The same cuts also impact on radio they might enjoy.
