Thank you Tree Friends, You know demolition doesn't make sense.
Please contact Council with a brief Submission>>>
- Why does Cumberland Council want to Re-build amongst our old-growth forest, and ruin it at the same time?
- Ask how can the users of 3 Sports fields be left without amenities and facilities for 9-12? months during 'construction' on the same site?
Its clear that removing tall shading trees and then surrounding civil works cause more impacts that makes the risk totally unacceptable.
- The Development Application "Site Analysis" extract (attached - SEE 'marked-up' in Red) highlights 3 real problems with the approach. This is why the DA needs to be withdrawn and redrawn with a better solution.
- The Girraween Park area without Remnant Trees is the better location to "build new" on 1 level and when that is operational then to the "demolish the old" amenities.
Let Council know you want these changes to make better sense.
