Grammy-Winning New York Voices Founder Kim Nazarian Endorses!

OUR FIGHT:

In just one week, we have gathered nearly 800 signatures from people who believe that taking away these irreplaceable educational opportunities harms students’ growth and potential, while also doing a profound disservice to the uniquely American art form of vocal jazz by failing to keep it alive for future generations.

So far, there has been no official statement from NYSSMA confirming that Vocal Jazz will be preserved, protected, and supported moving forward. There have also been no announced improvements to the audition process or additional support for the music educators working tirelessly to teach and sustain vocal jazz programs.
