Birmingham City Council have opened a consultation about the future of the Libraries service. There are several options and it's not clear if any of them would save Northfield library.

The assessment of Northfield Library is that it has low suitability for being a library because of the building condition and maintenance cost. If this was closed down, it would likely be sold off as part of the Council's drive to fund the equal pay claims, or fall into dereliction because of the work that needs doing.
