This may all be in vain!!

Unfortunately even though we have managed to get over 2200 people sign this petition which I have handed over to the council, they have said the information that change.org is not accurate enough.
You may be remember the change.org petition signing process was not the easiest and although it asked for your address it often used your GPS location and captured only a small part of your post code unless you over typed it!
The reports I see tells me that the petition has been shared 2900 times and viewed nearly 28,000 times, and I believe that many people thought they had signed and actually didn't complete the process so we may have lost thousands.
The governance office at the council have offered us another solution, and that is to log on to their petition site and simply do it again there.
I am waiting to get the instructions and will send out the link in a new update.
They are also only counting Leicester city addresses and out of the 2200 postcodes we have, only 1200 were LE postcodes which meant many of them may have been in the county and also do not count.
We have a week before the consultation finishes and that's when I intended to end the petition but I will try and extend it for another week so we can get a chance of accumulating 1500 votes to force a full council debate.
Please stick with us on, this we can do it!!
