Your voice is so crucial right now. Code Enforcement has not not ever wanted to work with the public on making a fair chance for gardens, unless it suits how they feel it should look. Now, these people are presenting their "acceptable" amendment for the City of Watertown.
Dana Aikins has outright said that he has NO IDEA what plants, host plants, or pollinator habitats need to survive. He has been bullying us and others across the city.
We need to stand up before this law is blindly amended for the city's benefit. Please write to Spierce@watertown-ny.gov or asaunders@watertown-ny.gov to have a fair hearing, voice heard, unbiased amendment created. The proposed amendment has ALL CONTROL going back to Code Enforcement.
This means a citizen's right to their own property has final usage say from CODE.
