The Minister of Culture made the decision to halt the construction on the ancient site of Nahr el Kalb, Lebanon. Communications between UNESCO and the Ministry of Culture helped in making this decision, and advocacy by all the groups and individuals on the ground, as well as this petition here with over 10,000 signatures helped gather visibility and urgency.
