Big win for our community! On August 18, 2025, the Sangguniang Barangay Council of Nabaoy, Malay, Aklan passed a resolution officially expressing strong opposition to the proposed 300MW Aklan Pumped Hydropower Project by San Miguel Global Power and San Roque Hydropower Inc.

The resolution cited the importance of promoting general welfare, preserving and enriching local culture, promoting health and safety, and maintaining ecological balance. These are key values that unite our community. The Council emphasized its duty, under the Local Government Code, to protect the comfort and convenience of residents and uphold a balanced ecology.

This action sends a powerful message to project proponents and government agencies: Our voices matter, and the community's welfare and environment must come first!
