Moorcroft Pottery, which stopped trading at the end of April after more than 100 years in business, has been returned to family ownership.
The company has been bought by Will Moorcroft, whose grandfather William Moorcroft built the factory on Sandbach Road in Cobridge in 1913, with support from London department store Liberty.
I would like to thank each and every one of you who signed this petition. Those that shared it, spoke about it and donated to keep it advertised. Every mention, share, donation and signature has helped to keep the story alive.
Moorcroft will still face the same operational challenges into the near future and it is therefore now imperative that we continue to promote the brand and become ambassadors.
If only a small percentage of those who have shown an interest in this petition commit to purchase more often, visit the factory or even share and like any new designs across there socials it will help Moorcroft into the future.
Stoke on Trent the potteries can still be a world famous ceramic manufacturer and we now need to do what we can to ensure moorcroft isn’t in danger of disappearing again.
“Don't think about making art, just get it done. Let everyone else decide if it's good or bad, whether they love it or hate it. While they are deciding, make even more art”
Andy Warhol
Thank you!
