The Rough Draft and a Thank You

Hello everyone! I wanted to thank you all again for your continued support and THANK YOU for having this petition reach 1k signatures!! This is incredible and I’m so proud of you for your time, passion, and to those who have promoted this petition: an extra thank you for doing what I cannot!

Where we are at currently:

I’m still focusing on gaining more signatures, the more we have the better a chance we’re heard! So keep sharing, especially to our neighboring cities of Bothell, Kirkland, Redmond, and Bellevue. I don’t have those kinds of connections, BUT I have created an email for you to contact me with questions, concerns, suggestions, ideas, or helpful info! molbaks.petition@gmail.com

I have a flyer made with a QR code that you can scan and it takes you to the petition, thinking of putting some up around town in places with permission. If you’d like to help with flyers contact me using the email above.

Also! You may have gotten an email when we hit 1k asking for videos of why this means so much to you, and I agree that it’s a good idea if you’re comfortable! I’m planning to film my own, but we need at least 5 from supporters, thats you! Share your favorite memories and why you think Molbaks should stay.

Whats next:

I’m researching who I’ll take this petition to, the “Decision Maker” as change.org calls it. But while I do that and gather information, I’m hoping to reach out to the Woodinville City Council for advice, and get to some of the news media outlets such as The Wire, The Woodinville Weekly, and King 5.

Ultimate Goal:

I honestly do not know, there’s a lot of hope here, and we have to stick together and hold onto that, we need to be a community right now and I can’t do this by myself.

I would love to see Molbaks stand for decades more to come so the kids of today can have memories like we do. Do you still remember Mack’s Corner? The Bothell Town Village? Both are just memories now, and no future generations will get to enjoy them like we did and that isn’t fair.

But I also understand things are complicated and we don’t have all the information from both sides. At the least I would be more than grateful to see Molbaks live out its final years on its lease.

Thank you all again so much, I’ll keep updates as frequent as possible, I might not be able to update tomorrow 12/21, but I’m here with you and will answer emails.
