At Memphis Street Academy (MSA), our curriculum is intentionally designed to support the academic growth and real-world readiness of every scholar. In middle school, our science instruction is aligned with the Pennsylvania STEELS standards—an equity-centered framework including Science, Technology & Engineering, and Environmental Literacy & Sustainability. These standards empower students to think critically and solve real-world problems, while reinforcing inquiry, innovation, and environmental awareness.

Through partnerships with the PennSEL Network and the Tesla Science Foundation, we provide students with the most current, high-quality science resources and hands-on learning experiences.

In literacy, our implementation of Evidence-Based Literacy Instruction (EBLI) is transforming how we teach reading and writing across subject areas. These research-based strategies are helping students build foundational skills and become confident, capable communicators.
