As we approach the midway point of our academic year, we’re proud to reflect on the remarkable progress of our Memphis Street Academy (MSA) scholars. From academic improvements, to the continued success of our health, nutrition, and English language programs, the entire school community is working diligently to support our students and their families. It’s a testament to the Caring School Community we have established and its tireless dedication to our students and their families.

This year, we introduced Evidence-Based Literacy Instruction (EBLI) for Grades 5-8 and thinkSRSD in our Social Studies programs, proven strategies designed to enhance student literacy and writing skills. As we look forward to the second half of the school year, we will continue monitoring the effectiveness of these interventions, along with our core program, by reviewing students’ math and reading STAR scores. We will also utilize our Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) process to address the varied academic and social-emotional needs of learners, informed by the STAR academic screener and the BESS social-emotional screener.

We are committed to refining and strengthening existing supports to maximize each and every student’s success. Our teachers remain deeply dedicated to meeting the diverse needs of all learners.
