TOMORROW at 6pm - Final 60 Minute Soiree Just a reminder about the final meeting for this year - tomorrow night! Why is tomorrow so important? We expect to have a critical vote on the future of Marian St Theatre in Council before the end of this year. Council will only act if there is a loud voice from the community saying 'we want Marian Street Theatre re-opened now!'. What if they don't vote in favour of re-opening? It will remain closed for the foreseeable future - the longer it remains closed the more danger it is in as the more money it will cost to re-open it. It also sits on very valuable land next to the train station. If Marian Street Theatre isn't re-opened now, we won't have any performing arts space in the area for 10 years...or perhaps ever. So, what are you waiting for? Come along on Monday! They'll be a special performance as well...but shh...is still a secret. And of course the bar will be open for a cheeky Monday night drink...
