This is not so much an update but a reach out to Louis Sutherland, who has set up the flourishing petition to save Medlock Mill, 'Rebuild Hotspur Press'.

Unfortunately, there seems to be no way of directly contacting an organiser of a Change.org petition, unless you are a journalist. So forgive this public approach!

If you do manage to read this Louis  - it would be great if you could get in touch with me and/or publicise my appeal for Mancunians to get involved in a new physical campaign group, tentatively called the Friends of Medlock Mill. 

In the first instance, I am looking to get an email list together, with a view to organising a public meeting on the importance of the building, its current state since the fire, the developer's monstrous plans for the site - and importantly, how Medlock Mill might be saved.  

I have approached Save Britain's Heritage and the Georgian Group - who are both involved in the appeal against the decision to refuse the mill listed status - and the latter have already confirmed they would love to send a speaker.
