We’ve hit 10,000 signatures! You rock!
When I started this petition, it was one resident's quiet appeal — a hope that a few more people might notice Maju Forest before it was too late.
I never imagined what it would become. Tens of thousands of signatures in just a few days. Neighbours, students, retirees, birdwatchers, families — people from every walk of life, coming together across various social media platforms and beyond, all for one forest and the creatures who call it home. Reading your messages and seeing your photos from the forest has moved me more than I can say.
Some of you have kindly reached out, asking me to take on a bigger role. I'm truly honoured. But I will have to respectfully decline — and here's why. This campaign has outgrown its founder and that's the best thing that could have happened to it. I'm an ordinary resident and I plan to stay one. You — all of you, together — are what this forest needs now. And I have no doubt you'll take it further than I ever could.
I'm not going anywhere, though. I'll keep this petition updated, keep pointing the way to the feedback channels and keep supporting this community in every quiet way I can.
So here's my one ask: don't let your signature be the end of your voice. The official feedback window is open until 6 August 2026 and a letter to HDB and/or your MP is what truly counts! That's how Dover Forest's story changed and it's how ours can too. Everything you need is pinned here:Files
If you're a resident of Sunset Way, there's an upcoming engagement session on the evening of 17 July. Details here:Sunset Way Engagement Session @ BTCC
