UPDATE:

"In the early afternoon of Sept. 1, a damaged tank at the Smitty’s Supply facility site over pressurized, causing a blowout of the tank roof. No one was injured and no other damage occurred. Response crews are continuing to assess remaining tanks for pressure issues to prevent further incidents."

Locals heard and felt the boom from the explosion. We are still awaiting further information on this from local media sources, the EPA, and our own response team. The EPA is still reporting that the air and schools are "safe", yet locals are going to the doctor and hospitals for concerning symptoms, especially the children. Whatever the EPA reports on this event, we will surely be comparing our own data with theirs!
