While we continue the fight to save fabric, we have managed to find a temporary home for WetYourSelf! - the weekly Sunday night party at fabric since 2009. The opening party will take place on Sunday 2nd October, with all profits going straight to the #saveourculture campaign. More info:https://goo.gl/UK5xfL Since fabric closed its doors 2 months ago, we’ve put all our energy into the #savefabric and #saveourculture campaign. The support has been amazing – from the 160,000 people who signed the petition, to all the personal letters we received, to all of the stories and pictures shared on social media and outside the club, and finally the money you have donated to the fund. It’s now surpassed £200,000 and rising – this just shows how important fabric is to all of you. For us fabric was our home and our dream – one we fought very hard to get to, and one we fought very hard to keep. Hosting the Sunday night at fabric has been a huge privilege and we have always tried to pass on that gift by making the night a platform for emerging artists in the underground house and techno scene in London and abroad. For many artists it has been a game changer, giving them the confidence to trust in their own talent and to focus on their professional careers in music. Knowing we’ve lost this platform, it is incredibly hard to find the motivation to continue, but it is now more important than ever. We need to show that we cannot be beaten, and that the party will continue. It won’t be the same as fabric, but it will still be a platform for our community to keep the movement going by showcasing our music every week. After much consideration, we’ve decided to move WYS! back to Aquarium as our temporary home until fabric wins the appeal. It is where we started almost 10 years ago in February 2007, it is where our name came from, and it was because of the parties we did there that fabric invited us to join them. Coincidentally the club has just undergone a big refurbishment, which has given it a more industrial look. The sound system is Martin Audio and we will bring the legendary lighting engineer Chris Binks with us to try and recreate the visual experience of fabric. The pool will be open like back in the old days… We hope you will all get behind this, and help us to make this temporary home as good as it can be. Let’s keep positive and together we will get through this. So please, join us at the relaunch of WetYourSelf! on Sunday 2nd October - you can find full details on the party here, please help us share the message.. https://goo.gl/UK5xfL #wysmovement #saveourculture #savenightlife
