On 09 Oct 2021 12pm, PM Lee address the nation and acknowledge that there are shortcomings in the service delivery and we need to respect Covid-19.

PM Lee explained that Singapore need to stay connected with the world, and by opening up the borders and further relaxing the rules. It further suggests on the endemic strategy.  

WHOs has not even declared Covid-19 as endemic. But, Singapore is forging forward with endemic strategy. Are we heading toward the right direction with endemic Strategy despite still being able to control the pandemic situation with ringfencing strategy?

It is undisputable and no doubts that Singapore needs to stay connected with the world. This can still be done whilst with clear ring fencing strategy and with consistency in policies. In summary, the leaders need to know how to do it & what to do to lead us in the right direction.

One week has past since the PM’s address, little improvements has been made and the healthcare workers are crushed. It is heart-breaking to see the rising numbers of death rate whom might be someone’s parents, grandparents, siblings, relatives or friends. 

How many death and infections need to occur before the government will put a brake to control the situation? 

Hence, the petition post will be updated to reflect the updated situation.

In the petition, there was a calling for: 

F) The Leaders/MTF to give simple to understand & clear guidelines to the people, so that the people follow and can do their part for the country.  

Since, PM Lee has update that they will give simple to understand & clear guidelines to the people, no more complicated flowcharts, so that people can follow and do their part for the nation. Hence, this clause will be removed from the petition post.
