Hi Everyone,
Thank you very much for being one of the early signers of this petition to help reinstate Little Shoal Bay Boatyard.
We'll keep the communications as light as possible to not inundate you with messages.
We are pleasantly surprised we have reached closed to 700 signatures within the first 5 days. We have signatures from as far as Europe, Americas, Asia and Australia.
And really grateful also for those who have put money in to expand the reach of the petition. Especially as we know that money isn't as easy to come by at the moment. So thank you very much.
I know we're preaching to the converted, but alot is at stake. LSBB, is one of the last of its kind in Auckland, and boating will soon become further out of reach for many. Your cherished memories of being in the water at summer time needs to carry on and be passed onto the next generation. We can't let go of that.
We need your help still.
To really get the Kaipatiki Local Boards attention, we need to aim for 10,000 signatures as our next goal.
I know times precious, so our ask is a small one.
If you can please share the petition.
You can share the petition in a number of ways.
- Post this link in your social media circle
- Download the flyer and print out to either put up on display or by simply having it handy to get signatures easily by them scanning the QR code on the flyer.
- Saving the attached QR code on the phone and displaying it for someone to scan and sign.
- If you can, support James Manley's post (LSBB's Secretary) on the Birkenhead/Northcote page. Like and comment on the post. Try not to comment on the negative posts as Facebooks Algorithm will give the negative comment the most exposure, due to the interactions with it. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/757y6ZWKh3m3KeKs/?mibextid=WUal2a
Donations for the petition is ofcourse optional.
We do feel there is an easy way forward, that can benefit both the boating and the local communities. At some point, we'll share the plan with you.
One of our next steps is to present at one of the Local Board meetings in the coming weeks. We'll keep you posted.
Again, we humbly appreciate your support so far!
Kind Regards,
Little Shoal Bay Boatyard
