SAVE LEWISHAM SHOPPING CENTRE 4th COMMUNITY MEETING

👋🏾After the success of our 19th of April Rally and election season has now passed us. The Save Lewisham Shopping Centre (SLSC) campaign is ready for (potentially) its final wave of lobbying!  50 Years of Labour Complacency is now over, and with the new Green Party council in power, a new opportunity for the SLSC campaign is now present.

✊🏾On the 2nd of July, at the first full council meeting of the new Lewisham Council, we will submit our petition and plan to stop the redevelopment of Lewisham Shopping Centre unless it provides more than 50% affordable housing. We need to build up our biggest presence ever in the lead-up to the march! Although we welcome the end of Labour rule, we need to make sure our new representatives, including our Mayor, are held accountable to the pledges they signed to stop gentrification.
