Last Tuesday, the Mayor-President Josh Guillory endorsed a meeting between the two sides of the Short-term Rental issue and the city to hammer out an agreement. Several members of the LTLA and Realtors Association of Acadiana will meet with Lafayette city leaders, legal, and planning staff next Tuesday, along with opponents of short-term rentals. Everyone’s hope is for a productive meeting with an exchange of information, fresh ideas, and genuine compromise. We will update you on any progress and new developments next week.
