Hello Everyone,

It’s been a while since we did an update and the petition to save Kings Pond continues to grow!

So how can you help?

Firstly, you may wish to join the Kings Pond Preservation Society - it’s free!  The group meet once a month to discuss matters in a very informal and relaxed setting! The group have already engaged experts and are looking to draft an alternative plan for the pond centred around dredging and keeping the pond we know and love as a large body of water on the River Wey. If you’re passionate about the pond, do join our community! 

The next meeting will be on the evening of Monday 12th May. As a community we can make a difference! We are stronger united!

You may also have noticed that we have started to distribute our new leaflets! Members of the Kings Pond Preservation Society have been handing these out around the pond and further afield! They are really helping to raise awareness. It amazes us just how many people are still unaware of the councils plans - it shows that the council have not engaged or listened enough! If you see any of our friendly volunteers handing out leaflets, do come over and say hello!

Getting experts in to advise and paying for leaflets does come at a cost to us, so if you would like to support the cause and help us shape an alternative plan which keeps the pond and improves the site for wildlife and visitors alike please use the fundraising link below.

All donations big or small make a difference. We receive no council funding or grants, so are reliant on the support of the community to be a voice for Kings Pond. 

We are hoping to get more publicity material produced, including posters and of course more leaflets as well as continue to engage experts so as we can present a fantastic plan for the future of Kings Pond. If you can help us out, we would appreciate it. 

Please do not donate via change.org as none of that money comes to us, it goes to change.org - we won’t see a penny! Please use the Go Gund Me page linked above or hand donations to one of our members!
