The council is currently discussing the possibility of building 1800 homes on Keele Golf Course. Local residents are concerned about the chaos this will cause in terms of road congestion, loss of lots of wildlife and the fact that this land is part of a green belt. There are plenty of houses in Newcastle and the surrounding area, and currently our local shops would not be able to deal with a further 1800 homes. If they build on Keele Golf Course and we accept this then where will they build next? Bit by bit we will lose our land and local wildlife!
