No Threats Will Silence the Fight for Kaziranga

Some content creators, volunteers, and people working on the ground to raise awareness about the issues surrounding Kaziranga have been facing threats, abusive calls, and online harassment.

One content creator was recently threatened over a phone call by a local political leader. Many of us also regularly receive abusive comments and hate under our content simply for speaking up about Kaziranga.

But let’s be clear:

Your threats won’t silence us.

Don’t threaten us. Don’t abuse us. Don’t try to silence us.

We’re not doing this to fight with anyone. We’re doing this because we care about Kaziranga and believe the concerns being raised deserve to be heard.

Instead of threatening content creators and people speaking up, tell your leaders to do their job.

Tell them to listen to the people.
Tell them to address these concerns.
Tell them to protect Kaziranga.

We all have our own work, responsibilities, and lives. We could simply stay quiet and move on. But we chose to speak up because we believe Kaziranga is worth standing up for.

We need more voices.

The more people who speak up, the harder it becomes to silence the issue.
