Hello Everyone

Karen is in Conquest hospital in East Sussex. Karen is continuing to have TPN (IV feeding) and IV fluid in hospital.

Karen has been in hospital for 2 years on the 19th of December. It has been and continues to be very difficult and is being made much worse because of East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust’s (ESHT) threats to take Karen to Court and evict her from hospital without the IV feeding and I/V fluid she needs to survive. Karen has had to hire a solicitor. The situation with ESHT is causing Karen a lot of stress and overexertion. It is also very difficult and stressful for Michael and Heather too. We all still fear for Karen’s future. Karen is still asking for remote setting up of home PN (IV feeding) while she is in Conquest Hospital. Karen wants to go home, but it needs to be with PN and IV fluid as she needs these to survive.

Karen has spent a lot of time in hospital with feeding problems during the last 4 years with several spells at home with malnutrition and dehydration in between admissions. This Christmas will the 6th Christmas Karen has been in hospital and the 4th Christmas she has spent in hospital in a row.
