Some have said to us that petitions are a waste of time, that no one listens, that decisions have already been made. Where our children are concerned there is no room for negativity or a defeatist attitude. We have a responsibility to care for those that we are entrusted with and protect them from an unneccesary disruption to their little lives. We have a responsibility to families who trust us with their children, who rely on us to enable them to go to work and balance the dynamics of family life.
Your signature matters greatly, you are the voice that supports the voice of those affected by this. Please share this with anyone who cares.
This petition is for families to be heard. The Government are rolling out more free childcare for parents to help them with the cost of living but access to nursery provision is being blocked time and time again.
There is no legitimate reason why our nursery cannot continue to remain on the school site to continue to support the families who need this childcare. We are happy to work with the County Council to find solutions to any problems that they can foresee but to achieve this they need to communicate with us.
We elect those with responsibilities for our communities. As members of our community we all have responsibilities to each other, to consider the needs of others and show kindness and respect.
This petition is to share the voices of our community in Shifnal and indeed the wider community. We have gratefully recieved signatures from people from around the UK and internationally. Some of these signatures are from the extended families of our nursery children, who can see the impact that this threat of nursery closure is having on those they care so deeply for.
Thank you to all of you who are supporting families in Shifnal and for taking the time out of your precious Sunday to read this, your kindness is much appreciated.
