UPDATE:

On Sunday 25/02, Mayor Jack Dempsey did visit Mr Sauer and did announce the art was here to stay, however on Monday 26/02 night's news, it was revealed the compliance extension was only until December with uncertainty of what is to happen after that. I would love to see this petition still be active for a while longer as so we can get the full extent of signatures and support to show the council how much his art matters to not only Jim but also our community and beyond. I also hope we can make Jim's day knowing he has thousands of people behind him and his art supporting and fighting for him. 

I also want to thank everyone who has signed and shared this petition. Without the support from everyone, we would not have had a small victory in what could be a long battle.
