Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) is the regulatory authority and mandates the treated water quality for any STP in India. CPCB on October 13 revised the parameters for the urban reuse standard for water being treated by sewage treatment plants (STP) by way of a notification, bringing much-needed relief for apartment complexes in the city that have STPs.
