Continuing plans for Hinksey Meadow and OFAS protest

Petition comments have been collated (and anonymized) and are ready to go forward as part of the supporting dossier for a letter to the Secretary of State asking that the OFAS scheme be called in for many breaches of the NPPF (currently pending a confirmed Secretary of State appointment after the Tory leadership contest).

A fuller update will be posted soon.

Oxford’s West End & Osney Mead Consultation

The drive to implement Oxford’s Flood Alleviation Scheme is linked to the University and Nuffield College's plans for an innovation district on the floodplains of Oxpens and Osney Mead (both on flood zone 3) as part of the West End development in the centre of Oxford.

• the deadline to be extended beyond the summer holidays
• public meetings on these complex and damaging plans.

Although the consultation closes tomorrow (17th August), you can continue to lobby your councillors and respond to the consultation by sending your views to planningpolicy@oxford.gov.uk after this deadline.
